Privacy Notice

How we handle the information you give us, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who this covers

This notice applies to thequietmoneymachine.com, operated by Think Retirement, Inc. It explains what we collect when you use the site or send us a message, what we do with it, and how to ask us to stop.

The site is intended for people aged 18 or over accessing it from within the United States. By using it or sending us your details, you confirm that applies to you.

What we collect

When you complete the contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and whatever you write in the message.

The site also records how you arrived: the page you landed on, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags or advertising click identifiers in the link you followed. This is stored in your browser and attached to your enquiry if you send one, so we know which of our efforts actually reach people. Your browser type, approximate country, and the time of your visit are recorded alongside it.

If you request a meeting we collect the times you say suit you, your time zone, and anything you add in the notes. If you reached that request through the annuity calculator, we also keep the figures you entered and the estimates you were shown, including which one you asked about — so the person who calls you can see the same numbers you were looking at.

If you take the assessment, we collect your answers, your score, and the areas it identifies, so we can tell you what it found and talk it through with you.

What we do with it

We use what you send us to reply to you, to arrange and prepare for a conversation, and to keep a record of our correspondence. We use the arrival information to understand which channels bring us enquiries.

We do not sell your information. We share it with the service providers who operate this site and our advertising on our behalf, and only so they can do that job.

Those providers are:

  • Cloudflare — hosts the site, stores enquiries, and runs the spam check on the form.
  • Resend — delivers email to you and to us, and records whether each message was delivered, opened, and clicked.
  • ScoreApp — runs the retirement readiness assessment and holds your answers and score.
  • Google and Meta — serve our advertising, measure which adverts produce enquiries, and may show you our adverts on other sites.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained while there is an active or prospective relationship, and afterwards for as long as our regulatory record-keeping obligations require. Where those obligations do not apply, we remove records we no longer need.

Asking us to stop

You can ask us at any time to stop contacting you, or to delete what we hold. Call (800) 857-8438 or write to us at the address below and we will action it. Allow up to ten business days. We may still need to send you administrative messages, and to retain records the law requires us to keep.

Keeping it secure

The site is served over an encrypted connection and enquiries are stored on access-controlled infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent over the internet is safe from interception. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information we will notify you.

How this site measures visits

This site measures how visitors use it with its own first-party tools; no outside analytics company receives these records. When you open a page, we record the page, the address of the site that sent you, the campaign tags in the link you followed, a broad device type, browser family and region, and the time. While the page is open, we record how long it is on screen, how far down it is scrolled, which of its named sections were in view and how long a mouse rested on each, where on the page you click or tap and where a mouse moves, which parts of a video played, the choices you make in our tools, and when you follow a phone, email or booking link. We never record what you type into a page through this measurement, and we remove any contact details a link carries before anything is stored.

To recognise a return visit, the site sets a first-party cookie named mlm_vid that holds a random identifier and nothing else. When you send us a form, the visits on this browser are connected to the details you give us, so we know how you found us. These records are kept for 2 years (730 days) and then deleted.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, nothing is recorded, no cookie is set, and a form you send is never shared with an advertising platform.

Cookies, advertising, and tracking

We advertise online, and we measure whether those adverts work. That means this site uses cookies and similar technologies from advertising and analytics providers — Google and Meta among them — which may set their own cookies in your browser, record the pages you view, and note when a visit turns into an enquiry. Those providers may also use what they collect to show you our adverts again on other sites, which is usually called remarketing.

When you arrive from an advert, the link often carries an identifier from the platform that served it. We store that alongside your enquiry so we can tell which advert brought you here. The campaign information described above is held in your browser's local storage and is removed when you clear your browsing data.

Our emails carry tracking too. We record when a message is delivered, whether it is opened, and which links in it are clicked. Opens are measured by a small image loaded when the message is displayed, and links are routed through our email provider so a click can be counted. We use this to tell whether what we send is useful and to stop sending to people who are not reading it. Blocking images in your email program prevents the open from being recorded, and every message carries a one-click unsubscribe.

You can control most of this. Your browser settings can block or delete cookies. Google and Meta each provide their own advertising controls in your account settings on those services. Blocking cookies may mean parts of this site do not work as intended.

Changes

We may update this notice. Changes take effect when posted here, so it is worth checking back occasionally.
